Use Honda's MT fluid. It's something like $8/qt. You'll need 4 from what I recall.

shipping is usually crazy high on fluids, might be cheaper just to stop by your local dealership

A lot of people say use royal purple but if you go to the royal purple website they recommend you use Honda mtf. I only run Honda mtf in mine.

You only need Honda MTF. I don't know why people recommend other stuff. Honda recommends it so why use anything else?

Who knows man, but sometimes what the Manufacturer recommends isn't always the best. In case GM with Dexcool antifreeze, but hey this ain't GM is it?

Honda > GM ;).

FWIW, you could've searched and found many threads with the majority of the feedback recommending Honda MTF.

I can agree with that ^^ my previous car was a 96 Pontiac Grand Prix coupe. That car was kinda fast, but a total P.O.S it got a blown head gasket the first week having it.

How often do you guys change your transmission fluid? And what are some signs for you to replace it? Because lately my shifts haven't been all that smooth I mean they are smooth, but not how they used to be 3k ago.

If you're really anal about your car, change it every year like my friend does. Otherwise, every 30k. If your car has a lot of miles and the fluid has never been changed, I'd change it, drive it for 50-100 miles, change it again, and possibly do it once more. Just to get any crap out that might be lingering. You don't have to though.

I'm not really anal, but I don't know when the last time the MTF got changed. Because I got the car with 205k and now it has nearly 210k. But Im thinking about doing it soon since the last time it was done is unknown.
