Transmission Slips after warm up????!!!!!

Hi im new here but will prolly be around for a while.

I just bought a 99 4 door EX Civic with 120,000 Miles with a AUTO TRANS. car drives amazing.... until the transmission comes to operating tempeture. It then slips from a stop to about 6-10 mph....once it reaches 2nd gear its back to perfect. every other gear is perfect as well.

the odd confusing facts:

*When i first start the car when fluids are cold the car drives perfect for about 6 or 7 miles... then its warm enough that it starts to slip from a stop.

*If i put it down into 2nd gear (P-R-N-D4-D3-2) when coming to a stop and then take off it will hold 2nd and not slip at all (this is what i do to keep from slipping and making more of a problem)

I drained the fluid and added honda ATF to it in my garage. and changed out the linear solenoid with a used one. It helped a TON but the problem still exists.

THOUGHTS? IDEAS? HELP!

Ok, is your car automatic or manual? If it's automatic then the Transmission is bad in the first gear. I got a 97 Honda Civic EX Automatic before and it ran exactly as you mentioned above. I did all I could to the car as you said too but the problem was not solve until I replaced the Transmission, so I believe 99% is your Transmission. The first gear of your Transmission is bad.
