Transmission swap

hey civic heads; i drive a 1996 SOHC civic ferio vtech. it originally came with honda's multimatic automatic transmission. I however swapped to a manual transmission and since then have some major issues.

FIRSTLY, my Vtech no longer works. through some online research i found out that i need to change the ECU since the one i have now is specifically for the automatic tranny and that i should get one for the manual tranny. i tried on that came from a 2000 integra type r and boom! my vtech works again. However the check engine light stays on and it appears that too much fuel is being sent to the injectors(keep in mind i'm a nubee to this so this is my unprofessional observation) has anyone got some sound technical advise on this issue?

SECONDLY, the original bracket for the rear engine mount cannot fit on the manual transmission. However, the bracket that came with the manual transmission appears to be too long. It forces the engine foward about two inches or there abouts and put strain on the other mounts, radiotor and some other stuff are affected. i was told that the problem exists because the bracket that i am now using came from a DOHC and my engine is a single cam. The thing is so do the manual transmissions come in SOHC. in my limited experience DOHC's i've seen are Manual and the SOHC's are automatic. Please assist me on said matters. Thanks guys, ianticipate a favorable response on the matter.
