Hey guys I just signed up here, first post. I'm 16 and i just got my first car- a 97 civic Lx. Its all stock right now, but i have a few plans for it. Upgrades will have to wait for a while until i get the money... insurance is killing me haha. Anyways heres a few pics of my ride. Its all stock im the second owner, never been abused. =) Im looking at getting this: http://www.customautotrim.com/bodykits/extreme-dimensions/honda/civic-4dr/1996-2000/110416/ anyone know anything about that company and their products?

ive honestly never really heard of that company the site looks pretty sketchy though so just make sure you read everything there is about it and the fine print inside the fine print. I mean personally i dnt like body kits like that i like a clean stock maybe a little lip look to it but being your age as i am i can see where your coming from with it lol. Just remember as long as you like how your car looks drives and sounds thats all that matters cause who else is gonna drive it. I take some crap for mine but its just because its got a little damage to the front end nothing that cant be fixed but aslong as the body is fine nothing more than maybe a little ding or scratch id say go performance and drop some power in it if thats what your into that is. all i have is a backyard mechanic cold air intake on mine but it works and i get a little more power outta it so when people hate i show em up lol if they have a civic too im not cocky and lie about what my cars capable of. But either way just read the fine print and all it most likely will only come primed so youll have to get it painted to match your car and if you have a 4dr make sure itll fit that and not the 2dr they have different dimensions to them.

if your low on cash, i would say you can do better things with your money than get a body kit. The first thing i did to my sedan was upgrade the stereo, cuz all of us kids like loud music. maybe touchup your trim or get a new grill. Feel free to get the body kit, but you may regret the first few things your buy for your civic if not properly planned out

Yeah I get where you guys are coming from. Im not a huge fan of all those insane body kits, I like the stock body lines but want it to be a little more aggressive looking. I think I'll do what you guys said and worry about performance first and think about body mods later. But what do you mean by lips though?

Lips attach to the front and rear bumber to give it a different look, you should look into them before buying a body kit to see which you like better. Here are 2 pictures of a front lip.
