trouble with 4 ways..help

kk um..its an 87 hatch..my hazards went dead...turn signals work but wen the hazards are in the on postion..no lights blink or lite up..they work off the same relay..and its not the switch or the relay..i changed both..theres power goin to the relay but it just ticks once and nuthin happends..so im guessin its a bad ground?..idk but last resort is ta take apart the fuse panel thing...but i dont wanna cuz il get confused n stuff...so n e suggestions?

um..i checked the switch the switch again..jus to b positive and its still good..then i tried runnin a positive wire to where the relay would go..and the lights lite up...so im guessin now its my relay?(which i originally changed but had the same problem..could b the same cuz i got the second relay outa a junk yard) and uh ya 3rd generation..

i would check the relay, and if that doesnt work. try the ground again.

ite i got sum ghetto s**t...i ran a wire from a power...to a flasher..to the top part of where the relay goes..il get a pic 2marrow..theres a downside tho..the keys gotta b turned for the hazards to work..i gotta go for inspection..u think theyll care? and sum1 teach me how ta throw up pictures..cuz im a dur dah dur and dont no how

dont worry bout inspection and the flashers...they will have the car on when they check..

Could it be a flasher? I don't think your turn signals and four ways should be on the same falsher. Could be wrong.. but it's a common problem. Should be $2-3 at your local auto parts store.
