im curious...where is the switch that tells the car that the trunk is open? iv been lookin all over, the carpet in the back of my car is all messed up anywayz so if itz anywhere in the trunk thats fine i can get to it. i checked the power coming into the light and sometimes it has 12 volts haha i wanna chekc the switch and see if itz bad or not. i need help asap! this is pisisng me off!

u mean the light inside ur trunk? lol mine works half the time, i just tap it a bit with my fingers and it turns on.... i'll take a look at the service manual after class, i gotta start heading out soon. btw, no need to bump your thread so repeatedly 
Maybe its a fuse?
no itz not a fuse, i tried shorting the light to ground and i poped the fuse that way. the light used to do the everyonce in a while thing...then that stopped. im gettin mad cuz i sit on back of my car and change my boots into my shoes after class so i can drive home after class. i cant see s**t! iv checked all the all data computers at school! nothing, s**t im going to a f**kin auto/electrical diagnosis skewl and i cant even find this one! haha
