ok guys, im wanting to bost a b16a swap i just purchased but i dont know what i should do to get a reliable 8-10 psi on stock internals. i understand its all about the tune, but what about headgasket size? can that lower my compression enough to allow a reliable 8-10? and if it can, what thickness shoult i get?

as long as your engine is in good condition (compression test is useful) and you get a good tune it should hold 8-10PSI without problem. Every engine is different, once you start forcing air in if you have a problem with your engine it will show itself right away.

If you tell us what turbo you're thinking of running then we can answer that question more accurately ;)

8-10psi?? what does that tell anyone? oh ya, nothing....

psi doesnt mean s**t, 8psi on a t25 is not the same as 8psi on a gt30

u should be able to safely make 250-275 whp on a healthy stock b16 stock head gasket and all for a long time.
