Tuning a/t?

let me start off my saying that i do not want to get flamed for this question. i am doing a auto to manual swap soon. but for the time being i want something to occupy myself. is their a way to tune an auto d16y8 ecu with a auto p28?

No. The only way to "tune" an automatic is by using a piggyback.

you can chip a automatic OBD1 ECU and run different maps

your tunign the engine, not transmission.

chipping a auto ecu is like chipping a manual ecu.

hmm i guess i got some researchin 2 do...can u get me started? like should i look into an apexi piggyback...uberdata...w/e. most of what ive seen are for m/t ecu's

You generaly can use just about any chipping kit. m/t vs. a/t. But, automatics can't take a whole lot of torque.

Honda/Acura auto trannies cant take much of anything. I mean gotta give to Honda, they can build a damn good engine....but they need to leave the auto transmissions to somone else.
