im not real clear on the whole timing/fuel thing. i will be using crome and i get everything up to adjusting them. so is the rule of thumb pull 3 degrees of timing per pound of boost in each cell? what is the limit of timing you will add after you pull the timing and find out your are x amount rich?
for example, if im running 7lbs on a t3 42/48 then i should pull around 16 degrees in the lower rpms then around 20 in the higher rpm range? once i do that lets say im running at 10.2 a/f ratio. should i add timing back to bring it up to ~11.5-12 or take away fuel? ive read up on pgmfi and the crome help page doesnt help me at all so if any tuners on here can shed some light or share some of their secrets that would be great.

Wow, I would say don't touch the ecu just yet before you read some more.

Timing will not effect the a/f ratio that much to bring it up more than a point. Also rule of thumb is 1 degree per pound of boost. So for 10 psi, you should be 10 degrees retarded than the atmospheric column.

yeah def. don't want to pull Fuel if you aren't sure. Just play it safe and keep fuel in safe levels until you fine tune the timing and get some pulls on the dnyo and go from there with the fuel

i definitely wont touch my ecu for a long time. i tried reading up on pgmfi but i guess i have to make another account since they've deleted my old one. i was just seeing what i can get out of cc so that i wouldnt have to make a new account on pgmfi.

ive also made a basemap if anyone is interested in telling me how much i suck at this.

We or I am not telling you that you suck at this. I am just making it clear that you have a lot more reading up to do. I would def make another account on PGMFI. Or even check out the old uberdata website. My webpage has a bunch of links on it, it has a links tab which has a few places that have some good reads. Check it out.

Good stuff, just make sure you can filter the good info from the bad. And I would recomend checking out j.davis's posts from HMT and HT
