To start off I bought this car in February (big mistake), it is a Canadian model 1999 Honda civic Si-G(Group option package) which seems to be rare AF. The car is no where near stock. The original D16y8 was rebuilt using Eagle rods and 75.5mm Vitara pistons. Basically it is a bullet proof turbo build, using a Precision Engineering turbo, 1000cc Precision injectors, Edelbrock performerX intake, Eagle fuel rail, Delta 260 regrind Cam, Titanium valve springs and retainers, Custom Speed-factory Ram-horn Dual waste gate exhaust manifold, FMIC. its just built.
I've had nothing but trouble with the car and ill explain why, lol. The 2nd day I got the car I was at a stop light and attempted to use the launch control that is set at 4k, I got a little wheel hop and then nothin, it stripped the passenger side inner Cv axle spline... s**t lol. They built this engine and didnt upgrade the axles to match, first sign of my huge mistake lol.
So I switch the cv which was cake and, bam im on the road again easy peasy. Now I know to take it easy cuz I cant currently afford racing axles. Few weeks pass was driving just fine without any issues. Let my cousin drive the car to pick up a buddy and he comes back and the engine is tilted in the engine bay. The driverside engine mount bolts pulled out of the block... SHITTT.
So again I pull the car in the shop and button that all up. (Helicoil) I know I know Theire just going to pull out again.. So I picked up a Z6 block and now im building that up but thats another story.. Anyway the car drove great after that for another few weeks till one night I decided to open it up being a jackass on the highway. Did that blah blah blah got it home parked it went to sleep. I woke up the next morning and went to start the car and I hear kind of a faint ticking sound so Immediately shut it down and push it in the shop.
Dis assembly of the Cylinder head has shown some wear on the Vtec rocker and a small amount of wear on the Vtec cam lobe. Got that all taken care of at delta.. assembly lube and bam back together Torqued Lashed all good. Still the same sound.. Take apart the lower end and I can wiggle 1-2-3 eagle rods.. #4 is stuck solid. "Oh hell there goes my crank and rod cuz a spun bearing." Nope... Pull it all apart and the bearing is just worn out, didnt spin or anything tabs still intact just looks a little burnt. Pheww put new bearings in plasti-gage .0025 across and no more noise, ya ya awesomeness lol.
NOWWW my problem the car is clearly running on 3 cylinders or somthing like that.. I have 140psi across the board. No water anywhere or antifreeze, brand new plugs wires cap and rotor. timing is spot on with the dizzy synchronized. The only thing I havent checked would be the injectors.. WHAT ELSE!?
Your help is greatly appreciated!!! THANKS!
