Turbo D16

So guys i started thinking to go turbo.If i do it im gonna do it right and buy some vitara pistons and rods,apr headstuds...So what king of turbocharger will be good to 300-350hp and will start spooling from low rpm?By the way i have a d16y8.So please let me know what kind of setup will be better.Thank you ind advance

if you get a turbo that spools at low rpm, you will most likely run out of boost by high rpm,

Gt2871rs is what you want. If you don't have the money for that then I say a 50trim t3/t04e .48 a/r. That turbo want spool at fast as the BB but you should get full boost by 4.5k and be good for atleast 300whp.

Thats the turbo I have and made 231whp at 8psi with a completely stock y8. Looking for full boost by 3.5k and 270-300 on my gsr. :cool:

the gt28 its pretty good but its kinda expensive...i was thinking more about the t3/t04...i just wanna have something that is gonna be pretty much reliable and make about 300-350 hp...

Like I said, 50trim t3/t04e .48a/r. Alot of people use the 57trim .63a/r but the 50 will spool faster and be all you need for 300-350.

a ZC or D16a9, will have aroudn 8.1:1 CR with vitaras.
to low unless your goign to run liek 20+ pounds of boost

OOO thats nice, but wich vitara u mean casue here in colombia maybe the vtara its diferente moedl than the USA... let me know plz, so i can see if its tha same, thx guys...

how does this sound. JE 9.0:1 pistons, eagle connecting rods, turbo camshaft, port and polished head, 450-500cc injectors, perhaps larger, t3/t04 turbo, good intercooler setup, and an electornic exhaust cutout. I think that should net you at least 300 with the proper electronics.
