stick with the garrett GT series. more importantly than that, stick with the ball-bearing GT series (denoted by ending in an R or RS).

A GT25 is pretty closely matched to the displacement and VE of a honda motor. You'll get spool rather low and alot of grunt in the middle.

A GT28R or GT28RS won't spool nearly as quickly, and won't give you power until well into the rev-range. hondas are geared to this rev range, and anyone that has driven a VTEC will be familiar with it's power band, but it's still a larger turbo with alot of lag.

i would go with the GT25 because it's a much better turbo for the kind of racing i do (touge).

IF you want to go T series, a strait T3 would suffice. i would go turbonetics and get the ball-bearing. if you want CHEAP then just find some old ford 2.3L turbo and swipe it.

how exactly do u drive a VTEC, i jumped in my VTEC and drove away. is it a new model that just came out?

gt28rs is a larger turbo definately but a lot of lag your definately wrong. the gt28rs is well known for its uncanny ability to spool quick and make a ton of power. hence the s added to the end of the turbo for higher flow. in the end u will have a turbo that has no noticable difference in lag, and will be great if he ever wants more boost. and everyone always wants more boost.

hell yea now i got some ideas,i am gonna install rods, low compresssion pistons, and get them balanced.I was only gonna boost 6 pounds, but my freind has a d16 turbo and i want more.So i am gonna need some ideas with the bottom end built and im gonna send my head to paul at dezod motorsports.I was gonna buy the stage 2 kit from him but too pricey.I started pricing engine management systems and a clutch kit and everything else im gonna need so 6,000 grand and still ems, tuning and all that ill be at 8-9 grand. So im gonna need some ideas i wanna boost like 10-15 pounds so hook it up im always at work and rarely get time to research and i just wanna do it already im sick of trying to get this whole thing together thanks oh yea i need a tuner so if anyone has any info id appreciate it preferably in the san jose area i want someone who can do a good job no matter price thanks

i'm talking about the shape of the power band:

-the gt2860rs is NOT the gt2860r. similar, but not quite. the rs has a 62 trim compressor whereas the r has a 55 trim compressor

what i'm refering to when i say "familiar with it's power band" is that a gt28rs will peak well above redline for a honda motor, whereas a gt25 would give you more of an OEM turbo style power band, providing more torque, but peaking lower.

how much power do u want to make u can do it for a bit cheaper than that with good parts and good tuning in my opinion.
