get yourself a p08 ecu and 15psi? you should be more focused on HP goals rather than psi.

any obd1 ecu will work, if its an obd1 non vtec auto ecu you find, youll need to convert it to manual and vtec. but as long as its obd1 it will be exactly what you need

you can keep it obd2 if you get a afc hack or a FMU... but you can forget about getting a good tune with either of those

You will have to take it to a Hondata approved dealer to get it done up. But you will more then likely fail emissions.

its very easy to pass emissions guys, the thing you should be worried about is visual inspection... to pass emissions if you have a home made kit, just pull your waste gate spring, and wire up a afc hack to run your bigger injectors. youll pass with flying colors

if you have visual inspection you have to uninstall your turbo kit and return it to stock form.

obviously in both situations you have to be running your original ecu.

or you could live in michigan and not worry about inspections.

edit: i live in chicago now but my car will be registered in M as soon as i can get down there for a day

yea, and 99% of the peple that work there are asses... and you allways have to wait in line..

one i waited for an hour, then they closed at 5:57pm... not 6 and they wouldnt take the last car of the day (me:evil: )

hondata.com should show you the dealers

and about the emissions..they plug in a device to see if your CEL is working..it throws a code and your CEL should come on

the way i see it, if you dont have visual inspection, which im sure you dont, just plug in your stock ECU somewhere down the road from the test place, DO NOT go into boost and you SHOULD be ok with emissions

or you could have best friends who work at dealerships and just give you your inspection and emissions stickers.

this is what i was going to do before i decided to scrap my project for the time being. i was going to get a p28 or obd1 p72 ecu chipped and running neptune. i would have had 450cc injectors and an external wastegate.

in arizona there is no inspection once you have gotten your car registered in the state. and they also only have the plug in test for emissions. come time for emissions i would have taken my stock obd2 ecu and gotten a vafc to run my 450cc injectors.

if where you live also smog checks your car, then i would take an extra precaution and pull the wastegate spring so as to never go into boost, even if they decide to floor it to where they check for smog in 3rd gear.
