Was i the only one that had trouble trying to fit a t3/74 .50 trim turbo? WIth the log manifold we had to grind the s**t out of the block (now it says B16A) lol and it still sits kind of angled because we couldn't cut in deep enough. i dont like it angled resting against the block....:(

Well my boy Julio has a B18 with the same turbo and his was barely shaved back, mine took a DAY and broke the hand grinder we had to cut so much lol. it just seemed wierd, maybe the manifold i used puts it too far back?

the placement of the turbo is all on the manifold. What kind of manifold is he using?

yeah i know, thats why i was asking but i've seen plenty of log manifolds used, maybe with smaller turbos. he is using the SSAUTOCRAP manifold from ebay. he's got the whole ssautochrome kit. liek the manifold here

a manafold like that is going to hold the turbo farther outso it wont hit the block. how is his holding up...any cracks yet?

haha, are you kidding...when we were doing mine, he came for an exhaust leak. turns out his WHOLE manifold cracked all the way around the head flange. he had my guy Yusif weld it all the way back around and left lol.

probably not too long. but with the way we do things around here, he'll probably come back for another weld

The kid Yusif who helped me with my kit has his own little shop with a friend of his named Nate (the one who will tune me). It's only a small garage space but they have a good little business going. That's the reason they have the welder, cutting tools, griding tools, tuning tools, etc.

We had to shave my block down to the serial #, but didnt grind that down. And that was just on a T15. I'm pretty sure its because of GReddy's manifold. It was made to keep the a/c, which we had to cut the shrouding on anyway, but I ended up taking it out.

I wonder if the Blox manifold would make it angled also. I was looking into one of those.

I have the Blox on a b18c and I still had to cut the block more than usual. Since there aren't many turboed b-series around here, I didn't know if that was unsual until people that have seen turboed ones mentioned that my block is cut more than others. My turbo does sit at an angle too. Oh and it's a t3/t4 57 trim. But other than that, the blox is working pretty good.
