personally, if you just plan to turbo it and do nothing else, then that kit is absolutely perfect. sure, you can make a turbo for less, but then you are left with all the tuning and timing crap. that turbo kit is literally a drop in and go kit. the recent turbo and hi-tech performance took a look at the edelbrock kits, and not only are they pretty much no-hassle direct bolt in with no tuning involved, but it inculdes every damn thing you need. all piping, the turbo already aligned properly on the manifold, the cast man. is reincorced at the common cracking spot, secondary injectors on the underside of the intake manifold, piggyback ecu, and you don't need to drill a hole in your nice brand new oil pan with the oil filter adapter. if you are looking to get your hands dirty, don't get this kit, but if you have a full free day and the money for the kit, i would definitely go for it.
sure, i bet you can get a more powerful kit by making it yourself, but i will guarantee it will be a pain in the cock, and then you have to tune it. i hope you have a second car if you are going to do that.

....for half that price!
ok so a better kit for half that. ok 1500 bucks

this turbo kit includes pretty much all top of the line parts, garrett gt series turbo, tial blow of valve. spearco intercooler, thats 1500 in parts by itself.

lets be serious and stop comparing junkyard setups with a quality kit. i havent had a chance to work with this kit yet but i trust every component on it. only thing i would prefer over this kit would be a better engine management system but im sure the kit's ems is adequate for the stock motor with low boost. this kit is great for beginners, there are so many out there that just get a junk turbo setup no ems, or with an fmu or something. this kit can get anyone started properly.

wish i was as smart as you there bullet. i always have to dive in head first like a tard and build cheap crap. i just like to be difficult, it's a lot more fun for me that way. i haven't done anything nuts with a car since 2003 when i was driving around good ol' pushrod power. those are fun, but don't hand out the challenge i look for. like i said, i wish i were as smart as you lol.

oh yeah, i also am a little biased, i did use all Edelbrock components on that camaro. best part was, i never needed anything else, and they supplied everything. only problem i had was the last tool welded in a cheap cat delete so i had to run to a parts store for a cat. otherwise, they are the absolute best.
