Im either going to turbo or supercharge my honda. My friend has the new 06 Cobalt with the supercharger so I dont know if I want to go with the supercharger as well or go with a turbo. Anyone know which might be better for a 95 honda civic dx?

everyone is going to tell you to go turbo...
1. its cheaper
2. its more efficient
3. more power gains for a basic bolt on setup
4. pshhhh! (i love BOV's)

honestly you dont see many supercharged civics, so i think they are pretty cool but turbo is more practical....
but then again when has F/I ever been practical on a civic

thats another reason i thought about the supercharger because you hardly ever see a civic thats supercharged they are always boosted which dont get me wrong i love blow off valves too. But if a turbo is gonna be better for my car then Ill just get a turbo i suppose. thanks

the charge pipe that connects to your TB may not fit right, but thats easily fixable. other than that i believe it may work

it should fit, and yes turbo it... its more easily upgradeable than a supercharger, and u get better gas mileage with a turbo... as long as u arent boostin! lol

a supercharger can use a bov as well, lets not forget that a supercharger is a form of forced induction. the diffrence being that a sc works off of pullys and a turbo runs off of exhaust gases, both inturn making boost.

im too poor to afford one right now but personally id say a bolt on turbo kit is your best bet and tune it

i think you best bet is to get a swap...you wont be pushing alot of power even if you go turbo on ur "D-series". you'll how a much better chance and get alot more power. say with a b16a or something. then go boost.

Turbo:
-more potenial for power
-alot of maintence
-turbo lag
-bov sound that everybody loves

S/C :
-power limit isnt very high
-requires less maintence
-instant power, no lag
-s/c whine sound spretty good aswell

either way, u need a good emu, Hondata seems to be the best and safest.
