I am gonna be making my first car and am confused on which turbo to buy. Some have recommended the Greddy td04. Should i go for a HKS or Greddy. The power plant is a 1.6

Greddy is a direct bolt-on. HKS would be more fab. and more money. But HKS ownz all in my mind.

Hmmmm.......so in your opinion Greddy is out....even the t05 16g....and if HKS is the best then which unit should i go for. Money wont be a problem.
What king of psi level am i looking at?

I would say go with greddy if you wanna do a direct bolt-in. Greddy is great stuff, however I am an HKS fan.

How would the difference of bolt on or not affect the car?
plus the other things i have in mind for the car are

MSD ignition kit with iridium plugs
honey comb cool air intake
intercooler with the turbo
greddy Evo exhaust
piston forging
reprogrammed ECU
Stab bars
Body Lowering
on board racing terminal
16" OZ rims with Eagle F1s
(Bodykit to follow)

Just use the LB Turbo. It's a lot cheaper and a lot easier.

If you're such an HKS fan, can you name the turbo I have in my avatar :P and no, I'm not getting on your case, I'm just messin' around.

Not playing turbo kit expert, but there are some kits I've seen in ads that might have 5th gen applications

Eldelbrock has a kit, I think it's called victor x or something like that

Garrett the turbo manuafactuers, have come out with a kit

And all of them are suppose to include everything. I mean in the add I saw pictured: intercooler, filter & intake, turbo, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, looks like fuel management items and such. I recall even seeing a gauge completed with a pod in one of the two kits (either boost or probably A/F ratio).

There may even be more!

But just thought I drop some names I recall seeing

Hope it helps

Garret Makes a good turbo, do you plan on putting it all on yourself or what?

greddy will get you all the power your bottom end can handle, so unless you plan on upgrading that in the near future, i'd go with greddy

I don't know a lot about them, but I've seen a lot of civics in Import tuner to run Drag Turbo kits, they use a Turbonetics turbocharger, full kit, including intercooler, direct bolt on

I would go with the drag kit. im putting that on mine this summer. it comes with everything. and its direct bolt on. and you live in il so edmissios is not a problem. as far as the ignition timeing etc you dont need any of it. all you need is a hondata s200 from hondata . I would get the stage 3 from drag ( i think they make it for teh d-series) and then you can turn around and sell some of the stuff that the kit coems with. the the fmu, piggy box, map thinggy. and a few other things that the s200 deals with. depending on how much boost you want this is what you will need to look into getting. (im lookinginto 10-12 psi, so this is what i am getting to get that and not hurt my motor (b16a g2) new hight pressere clutch. RC 440 injecters, walboro 255lph fuel pump, aem fuel rail, forged pistions wiht 9.5:1 comp. putting in type-r cams, skunk2 intake manifold, s200, lower thermo, hks boost controller, hks timer, and s7 gauges, A/F, boost, oil psi. if you need anymore info pm me.
