TURBO screamming!!!???Help.......

Well last night my battery die on me and i had to jump it this mornning to get to work, but now when i reach around 4000rpm the turbo is screamming really loud! Does anyone know what is going on? Everything looks ok no oil leak and all IC pipes are connected!

I think it is something like floating bearing...that's what it said when i bought it. It is a XS power T3/T4 turbo. It is making a really loud high pitch sound once i get up to 4000+rpm.

Damnmit do i need a new turbo then? I only had this for a few months!!!!!

Well, im just saying that XS Power is an off brand, its cheaper for a reason, because its poorly built, thus resulting in bearing problems such as the one you have come across, which in the end, costs more money than buying a good reliable turbo in the first place. In my opinion, id save up the money and buy a reliable one, dont worry about repairing this one.

i guess you are right but you think it is ok for me to drive it for awhile until i save up some mmoney? I mean i don't want it to mess my motor up...but then there would be a excuse to put a B series in . You members here are such great help!

eh... idk man its really tough to tell what to do. I mean I wouldn't drive it like that, cause you definetly have a chance of doing harm to your motor. Id really try to get a new turbo as soon as possible. Just make sure its basically a replica of the one now, but in a better brand, so that the flanges, etc. line up and that it works with your current setup. gl.

When i get it up to 4000+rpm it whistle really loud, but under that is is normal.

Keep it under 4k for now until you could replace it with a better turbo or take the whole system off until its fixed.

hmm...see if they have a warranty to get it replaced....if not then just try reconnecting everything....maybe one of the vacuum lines or somethen fell off.....check lines....

Are you absolutly sure its the turbo making the noise? Its kinda weird to say your battery died and now your turbo is making a weird noise as if they are related.

very true^^^ somethen had to happen....have some hold there foot at 4k while u listen and look closely....just dont get in the way of any of the blades lol

same thign happned to my cousins cheap ass xp powa s**t, it screeched all crazy. That thing was so worthless. but i just happened, no battery dying or anything.
