Turbo setup for ZC

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I will never make good power with a NA ZC on a budget lol, so I should just go turbo. I've been reading a lot and I would really love to save up and get a nice turbo build on my ZC. I also think that buying a pre-assembled kit is probably a bit wiser choice, so my question is what would be the best kit for my ZC that is a good price? The best kit I've seen is the street kit on Go-Autworks.com. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I would like to keep stock internals.

And other than the complete turbo kit, all I need is bigger injectors, and maybe a bigger fuel pump, correct?

yes.. Xenocrone has a pckg deal for fuel pump and injectors. Youll need a chipped obd-1 ecu and a good tune. What is your power goal?

I've been talkin to I3oosted alot actually, he gave me some really good advice, i was just lookin for other peoples opinions too. And as for power goals, hmm, I'd say anywhere from 200hp-250hp. Definitely over 200hp though. Suggestions??

SpoolinPerformance has a kit and somewhere else on the "forced induction" area, theres another kit for 1700. 200-250 should be easy to reach.

stock fuel pump will be fine for a stock internal boost setup....im pretty sure stock fuel pumps are good up to 300hp...

sick, anything to save me money is good. And I can't find that turbo kit on spoolin performance... So aside from a complete turbo kit, I'll need a chipped ECU and injectors only i guess. Do I get my ECU sent out somewhere or do I buy a chip that i put into it or what?

well, if you dont know what your doing, your local tuner shop should be able to socket it and chip it.. make sure they use re-flashable chips like SST. Xenocron.com has a service if no one is avail.

As for the fuel pump, I just changed mine cuz it had 160k on it.. Im not sure about 300 hp on a stock fuel pump cuz i just changed it so i could go higher if i wanted. an adjustable fuel pressure regulator wouldnt hurt, but thats just me.

Whats up II3oosted, seems we keep runnin into each other...

Edit:.. oh yea.. hope your clutch is in good shape. if not, new clutch and fly re-surfaced.

actually when i bought my ZC the guy threw in the clutch that was on it for free....so we'll see. I'm havin it put in tomorrow, pretty excited. So my car now is bone stock and rather than doin dum no-gain bolt-ons ima just save for a turbo kit. do you guys think piecing one together is better or buy a pre-assembled one? I just dont wanna get crappy junkyard stuff that isn't gonna be reliable, but at the same time i have to save money lol...

save your money and put together a good kit yourself... and get a walbro 180 fuel pump, you will want the extra their if you decide to make more power down the road.

i would get a LC-1 wideband system....that way you can watch your air/fuel ratios...

might want to get a boost controller to...cause my internal wastegate was set for 5psi...so i had to buy a boost controller to raise the psi to 12...

i would go with the walbro 255lph....thats what im using with no probs, that way if you wanna make more power later on you wont have to upgrade....make sure to get the LPH if your gonna use your stock fuel rail and stock FPR (fuel pressure regulator)

make sure to upgrade your sparkplugs to atleast 2 steps colder...i would go with the ngk bkr7e's ...thats what im running gapped @ .028
