turbo setup Q's?

k, first off i was lookin at the edelbrock or greddy KIT for my d16z6......then i found a guy who works mainly on d's and said he cant fab up a COMPLETE kit if i supply the major things............snail, IC bov so on and so forth..............but my question is............how much boost could i run on a stock internal d16z6 with over 200k on it?........also, what are the major things im gonna need.........im only lookin for like 175whp (higher would be better)............so im wonderin if a t3/t4 snail would be good?.........also, what all am i gonna need..................exhaust manifold to keep ac/ps.......turbo........ic....bov....oil lines.......injectors.............what is EVERY thing im gonna need to atleast reach 175?

These questions have been asked a million times. you should do a search. a T3/T4 would be good, but if you're just lookin at say between 175 and 200 hp, then a T3 would be fine or even a T25. there are a lot of resources out there on these subjects. you should check them out. try these links...

good lookin out with tubod16 ..........but one thing i couldnt find......best size snail..........i dont want like instant boost out of a SMALL one and dont want ALOT of lag (2 bad u cant get both).....so i was wonderin if a t3/t4 would be best....i want boost all the way up tolike 6.5-7 if possible and dont really need it to spool till 3 grand, earlier if possible, and lookin to get around 175 to the wheels......is this possible with a t3/t4?.........if not what would be best size for what im lookin for?

you'd probably be happy with a T3 .48/60. it's a great turbo for a d, it boosts at around 3k on a stock d16 with a good manifold and holds boost till redline. I've seen people make anywhere from 180hp to 230hp with a good tune on that turbo.

I don't know dude, when I boosted my z6 it didn't have high millage like yours does. Your motor might not last long so you might want to buy yourself a spare z6 or something. I guess if you have a good tune it might last a little longer but over 200k miles is kind of high for boost but what do I know :lol:

get a compression and leak down test. if your results suck, then you have to rebuild your motor otherwise you cant boost. thats all there is too it

damn, i was actually thinkin bout gettin a jdm d15b 3stage maybe and a new tranny while im at it,,if i built a turbo set up for my z6 and it kills my motor do u think all the s**t will bolt up 2 the d15......even with slight mods to it?
