This may sound stupid but is it possible to piece together a turbo for a d16z6 using misc turbo parts from a junkyard. Right now the kit option is out of my budget.Or what would be the cheapest way to go turbo? Thanks.

research is ur friend, a turbo kit is very easy to build and costs way cheaper than buying an overpriced piece of s**t greedy

It's do-able for 1000 bucks, but, if you want to do it right, and I mean RIGHT, then you just have to spend more.

No, it was caused by excessive boost creep thanks to the shitty SS AutoChrome mani and it's horrid wastegate placement.

high compression pistons?

stock z6 can handle 300 hp. Its all about the tuning.
