I am looking between the apex small little turbo timer and the greddy turbo timer... I was wondering if either was better then the other... I know the greddy one is a lot bigger and I would have to put it where I kept my cd's but other then that I like it... i sure they basically do the same thing I was just wondering opinions on both? Do they both work with the greddy 19t turbo kit?

but most of the time i am driving i am in a rush and don't have time to sit in the car for another five minutes while it cools down..... i didn't know turbo timers were a waste of money... if i had enough time to wait for my car too cool down everytime i would

haha..... thats funny its under 100 bucks so... i mean i can afford that it pretty much pays for itself if you think about it 5 minutes everytime you get out of the car you could be working those five minutes and that would add up haha.... does that make any sense?

I really like my blitz one. Its always worked well. Don't have any experience with the apex one though. The blitz one is still pretty small.

Either one will work with any turbo kit. The turbo timer doesn't interact with the turbo or any of the rest of the kit at all.

^^ dood no need to apologize to me in your sig.... anywho, i bought the greddy one (86 bucks), they both do the same thing...i put it in the change dish to the left of your steering wheel below the cruise control button. its totally hidden and out of the way.....it doesnt matter which one you get, they do the same thing.

I wouldn't buy a turbo timer based on that alone, especially one that is going to cost you more. It is going to give you a horribly inaccurate reading. If you really want to know your a/f get on a dyno or spend the money for a wideband o2 sensor.

well i just ordered it not just b/c of that but b/c it is smaller it may cost more but it looks better in my opinion your right it is prob not accurate at all but it will give me some kind of idea if i'm running rich or lean which most likely i'll be running really rich

sounds good. I almost bought the apex one as well, but i finally decided that the blitz one would be easier to hide. You should enjoy the apex one.

You should enjoy the looks you get when you walk away from your car and it's still running. People constantly would look at me like i'm retarded. It was hilarious.

ummmm you are buying a egt gauge....which will tell you more accurately if you are lean or rich....

yeah thats right... but its just something little that the greddy box doesn't have... i have another question this always gets me confused... with the egt gauge say its reading a higher temperature then it should does that mean its running to lean?

It could be either. Usually if you're running lean you'll have a higher temp, but if you're running extremely rich some of the extra fuel will combust outside of the combustion chamber at the headers, causing the EGT too read too hot as well. But if you're running that rich, you most likely would know. You would most likely have a little black smoke and the plugs would easily show it as well.
