Yeah I have been planning on going turbo on my H22, but some people have been telling me to go with a jackson racing supercharger, Im going to run 6-9psi on stock internals until i need to rebuild my engine, then I will go up in boost. I wanted to get some info from people. I found a jackson racing supercharger kit that has 900miles and includes everything, but it say its for 97-2001 nonsh prelude. Im wondering if I could make this kit work on my H22. Thanks, oh my egine is out of a 93 prelude.

moved for the n00b. on the jrsc note, they are usually ONLY for the specified car, because they stick out quite a bit and have a lot of firewall clearance issues. some people have made modifications to make them fit on other models/swaps, but id do further investigation to see if its possible. or you could just make your life easy and turbo.

ok thanks, sorry for not posting in forced induction, I will probably just run 7psi ,then i will get my engine built and run more boost. I will probably go with a turbo setup, I just found a pretty good deal on that supercharger and I wanted to see what people thought would be better to go wiht. Thanks

yeah, the max for a h22 on stock internals is around 8 psi. I think you can get 10 if the air/fuel mixture is perfect

PSI means nothing, power output is what will determine the longevity of a stock engine.

as for psi is relative to the turbo/supercharger your running. and how is creating a new thread quicker than searching? it takes people forever to respond to threads especially when there is about a million threads out there on the topic.

Turbo on a 4cyl. Super on a V8...
PLEASE.. PLEASE.. Do some research.

Both have their goods and bads, one if better then the other for certain events.

Basic run down:
Supercharger - Usually about the same or lower priced then turbos, gives power throughout powerband, uses engine power to create the power.

Turbocharger - Usually about the same but sometimes higher priced then Superchargers, uses engine exhaust gasses to spool the turbo which doesn't take away from engine power, most of the time, spools up during higher RPMs.

Never really is a good idea, in the beginning, to turbo a stock engine.
