I'm just wondering what peoples opinions are on them, seems like more people tend to lean towards the turbos, i'm still on the fence. Definately partial the chirp of the turbo though....

Oh look! another one of these threads.

On CC, turboes rule.

Me and a couple of others like Roots type superchargers for street cars. We are the minority.

Centrifugal superchargers are suitable for flameage.

super charger gives power through the whole powerband, and turbo is ained more for high end. BUT super chargers are limited to boost and customization, turbo systems can be better set to your prefrenses

Turbo. Most hondas are all about power to weight ratios. So why would you use alot of rotational force to power a supercharger when you can use the exhaust gas to. Yes turbos dont respond as quickly as a supercharger but in the long run much better for a car thats putting out a lower HP number.

to have a super charger you have to have power to make power. turbo you can make power with nothing :D

Sounds like turbo on a civic would be the better option to run with. Sounds good to me, let me open 'er up on the highway and listen to that chirp!

on a honda i doubt you would ever see #'s from a S/C close to those from a turbo...turbos are just better especially since like someone said above...power to weight =)

You can run A S/C and Nitrious, IMO 4Cyl's work better on turbo, V8's ect work good on S/C's.

That logic is pretty flawed. Do you have anything to support that statement? Because it seems to me your going based on the fact that superchargers are seen more on V8's and turbos are seen more on smaller displacement motors, and not by any sort of factual data.
