alright so .. i have a t3/t4e turbo and some other s**t .. my engine has close to 210 000 km/S and its piston rings are done. its a ls engine .. so i was asking if i was to do internal work like pistons and bore it out and what not what would be a better choice getting it rebuilt with the newer parts or just getting the stock egine again.. becasue i dont know how the block is and what not.. also same goes with the tranny.. except i have a stage 3 act i think clutch.. so should i go with a rebuild with my parts or a whole new engine.. smae with tranny? thanks guys

depending on the current condition of the block, i'd just rebuild it, sleeve it, and upgrade the internals
it could handle more hp more reliably
or you could say screw it and just buy another b18b for the same price or less.... but then you might be in the same position anywhere from a few months down the road to a few years.
and what's making you think you should rebuild your tranny?
if you could get a gsr ir b16 tranny within your budget the gears are better.... but if your tranny isnt having any problems currently there's no reason to touch it

check the compression and do a leakdown test. if all looks good, replace the timing belt and water pump, new clutch and resurface the flywheel and then boost w/ proper fuel management (find an experienced tunner). then u should be good as long as u maintain it well. remember: high performance = high maintanence so u have to keep a close eye on everything if u want it to last. another good thing is that the LS blocks are fairly cheap, if u end up blowing it (from racing or w/e) as long as the tranny is still good then u could just pick up another block for around 700 or less.

from what ive been told you dont want to really bore it out unless your gonna sleeve it cause the sleeves are the weakest part and boring them out would just make them thinner. maybe just buy a new block and build your old one up. that way you will have less downtime
