i can't decide which turbo to run. im looking for quick spooling and 250-350+ hp range.

any other trims welcome. i prefer internal wastegate. but if i have to get external for the best set up. thats fine.

Why is it possible to make 3 threads within a very short amount of time?

t3/t4 just because it is cheaper, by like 50% and will net you the power levels you want pretty easily

Goddammit and of course the one I post info in gets deleted...

GT2871R with a .64a/r
IWG and can get you up to ~400hp with a quick spool.
More advanced and capable of more power than the GT28RS with the same physical dimensions just new internals. Basically a Disco Potato replacement.

ball bearing turbo for the win like i said... the ball bearings make turbo lag almost non existant on the gt series. and the gt28 is a monster size turbo so you would expect it to lag a lot on our puny civics. but yeah, it doesnt lag as bad as a t3/t4 .63 ar and produces more power than the hybrid. but of course you do pay about $700 more for the added performance of ball bearings with the gt series

The more advanced compressors and turbines are the main benefit.

ok so the .86a/r won;t spool as fast? i can get the .64a/r and the .86a/r for the same price.
Get the .64a/r and go with the 2871R not the 28RS.

which turbo are you refering to? if youre talking about a .86 ar t3/t4 forget it, by the time you fully boost its time to shift. if youre talking about a .86 gt28r then wtf go for it
The .86 a/r GT28 is unecessary unless the displacement is there to require it. And with a 1.6-2.2L, it isn't.

The two links I clicked on were for the 2871R with either a .64 or .86 a/r.

the links i put up there say gt2871r. then why does it say that the turbine is a gt25?

out of those two. you guys told me to go with the .64a/r. are those turbos not what i should be looking at?

It says the turbine is a GT25 because it is. And with the GT2871R stick with the .64 a/r.
