turboing another D motor

Yea, I'm gonna turbo it now.. I've tastes FI before with a jackson racing S/C, but not impressed, so I'm gonna build my own... Has anyone heard of this kit? any pros-cons? Any help is appreciated..

i've never heard of it... but that's not saying much. the funniest part, to me, is that it's a "d-series" turbo... and all the pics are of a B series motor. gotta love eBay

yeah stay away from the ssautocrappywelds. they have been known to fall apart easily. td40h... thats a 15g if i'm not mistaken. pretty good size for a turbo, but if you don't want any lag i'd go with a t-25. 14b is the biggest i'd go on a single cam, and bigger and u lose usable street (low-rpm) power.

maybe for u, but in my opinion anything bigger than a 14b loses low-end power. i drove a civic with a t3/4 on it, and it'd be good for making a drag car or a straight-line speed car, but i'm into autocrossing so i just want instant torque from a turbo.

but i dont want to get a jackson racing supercharger, i have heard tons of people have a bitchload of problems with the pulley wearing out on it. plus, nobody wants to admit it, but the sound of a blow-off valve is reason enough to put a turbo on. lol.

Dude check Turbod16.com for all ur d16 needs and u should piece ur own kit for one it will be cheaper and two u can put part u want on it. Thats what Im doin.

T3 60 trim .48a/r best bang for the buck turbo but if u got the $$$ get the GT28rs Disco Potato for bout $1000 best spooling turbo capable of 350 hp

both turbod16.com and homemadeturbo.com are the top two entries in my favorites list. go to both, these guys will hook u up. there are tons of people on this site who are incredibly educated in turbos and hondas, u can ask these guys pretty much anything u want and they will know the answer. two guys who have really helped me out many times are phiz and beerbongskickass (both from turbod16.com) i'm using uberdata for fuel management for my turbo (its a lot like hondata but MUCH cheaper) and beerbong's basemap is an incredibly useful starting point for a turbo honda d.
