A few of you guys know I just got my 2000 Ex coupe from some person that went a little overboard in the rice department....So I am going to change it up a little.

What do you think the first step i should take...I just had a Short Ram intake, DC Headers and a Full catback Apexi WS Exhaust put on. I was thinking a GSR engine swap if possible before I turbo it....suggestions?...Comments? :???:

well if that is your car in your sig. i would change something first. then swap and turbo. but if you would rather have speed first then swap and turbo first. id say if you wanted a good car show car then leave the car the way it is but change the rims. it would probly do good. that is if you are into the show seen.

It wouldn't be a bad show car at all actually....I think I may just leave it the way it is or possibly swapping for a K series or GSR engine....Here is a better picture of the car, the rims arn't to bad in person.

ya man i would just leave it and do shows. but i am into the whole show seen though. and if you have the money go with the k20. if not a gsr will work with enough left to probably boost it.

that car is actually pretty clean for all the stuff done to it. if a car has a kit and stickers or whatever and stuff and it still looks good, well it looks good. what makes it bad is if the kit is unpainted, theres bondo everywhere and all the stickers are APC, thats gay. the car is original though, as far as engines go, go with a GSR because it is most cost effective, especially against a K series. they are waaay to expensive right now to try and swap, sure they are the best motors ever produced by honda by far, but way too much cash. for the amount of money you spend of swapping a k20a2, you could swap in a boosted GSR and be going faster than a K for the same or less cash.

Hey thanks guys. Yeah I am really starting to like the look of it....now I guess just a little more power and I should be good to go for a little bit :D

Thanks for the advice about boosting the GSR, cause I was starting to really lean towards the K20. Appreciate everything guys

EDIT: why would you get i/h/e with plans to swap the motor? it sounds like you have a LOT of money to dump into your car, because its going to cost upwards of 6g's to swap and turbo.

yeah, why would you want to throw in an intake, header and exhaust if you are going to turboit. I'm not hating I just don't get it. Oh yeah, nice ride. I say go with a gsr and boost the hell out of it

Cause I am not going to have the money for another couple months and my buddy was getting rid of his 2000 civic so I bought it off him for real cheap....so it was something just to throw on for now. I am moving up to West Chester U this month so I am not going to have the time to do everything right now....I am probably going to buy everything and keep it at my parent's house until I get everything which probably will be around the winter.

My original thinking was just a small turbo, but now I am thinking of going all out for this with a swap and boost. Thanks for the compliments and suggestions guys.

if you got that kinda $, i would sell that car, spend 1000 bucks on hatch, take your fortune and go crazy on the motor in that. cause from what you're saying you got some bread. let that :rice: feed someone else.by the way the way that car looks you're just asking to be pulled over on a regular.

I would just paint it either FBP or EBP and call it a day....the car looks good but i like the clean look of just one color.....other than that its a good lookin ride

i would agree with you on that. im not a big fan of multi colored cars. id say go some kind of blue. or leguna seca blue (i think thats what its called) like on the M3's. i love that color.

Never thought about painting the rims...might be a good idea I'll think about it. I was actually thinking about putting some headlights on it, but I have heard some really bad things about the aftermarket headlights...any suggestions?

I do have a good amount to spend on the car but I really like the look of it cause it stands out. I would have bought a hatch but I hate them...i dont know why but I do. I really dont like the idea of a sleeper either...I am a fan of having a nice looking car thats quick also...so half of it is done...now its time to rip into the inside... :D

I personally don't think it looks too bad. I'd just do the motor work.

Yeah, man, if you like the look stick with it. You can get aftermarket headlights, but make sure to buy a good sealant and seal them before installation so moisture doesnt leak in. And i would recommend other rims over painting those. I think you can sell those and buy better looking rims to go with the kit.
