Hello cc. I currently have a stock d16y8 with a yonaka cat-back. Ive decided i want a header and would like to get as close to a subaru sound as possible. Is there a UEL header for a d16. If not, i would like to keep my car from sounding like a fart can. any other suggestions, Thank you! =)

in the subi relm, the UEL header is just due to the way that its routed, i dont think they make one fo the honda crowd sense nothing in a civic has dual banks (like a V or a horizontially opposed motor) but if your just trying to keep it from having the fart can sound, just make sure your system has a resinator, and if you dont have to worry about smog testing then replace your cat with a second bolt in resinator, that should take car of the rasp that your refering to,

and just a little food for thought, it a hi reving 4 cyl. its always ganna be a little nasty, lol you just have to find what your willing to tolerate.

I have heard the yonaka exhaust with and without the resonator. As long as you keep the resonator it will be fine, without the resonator it sounds pretty bad imo.

Yeah i dont need smog tests. As of right now with no header i love the sound of my Yonaka. The resonator is HUUUUUGE! haha
I understand its the way the route them, just wasnt sure, thank you.
So now what would be a good header to pair with my Yonaka? Thanks again!

honestly the header is up to you 100% because they are what they are, and its all about how much your willing to spend versus what you want in terms of quality lol, mine car is rockin a $50.00 ebay 4-2-1 with no cat, no resinator and a Skunk2 mega power R axle back (the Skunk2 mid pipe didnt fit cause i need a test pipe or cat to go in the gap so im running literally ebay header+OEM D15B8 midpipe+Skunk2 axle back.

i get alot of compliments about the sound when i see other honda fans an i have no rasp or pop what so ever.

you will never sound like a subaru, and no car but a subaru will sound like one. Boxer motors are designed very different.

ah i love the sound of a subi and a vr6 though <3

I run a Mugen Twinloop replica, and it works pretty much the same way as a second resonator. Nice low tone to it with no nasty bogging sound.

well if you want to sound like a subaru, just do a FWD subi swap into your honda
