up Rev limiter

i have a 91 civic hatch with a d15b2. its the std model and i want to raise the rev limiter to 8200 but cant find a chip for it and body have any suggestions?

you wouldn't want to do that on a stock valve train, especially a d15b2. I'd say you can safely take it up to 7500 or a tiny bit more, but you're not going to make power above stock redline in a stock engine, so why do it?

Anyways, you wouldn't find a chip for just your car. You would need a chipped ecu. Not sure on how obd0 chipping goes, maybe some one else can help you on that.

Yea, you need to get a chip put in your ecu and use a tuning proram to adjust it.

Don't take it above 7k though. Thats just dumb.

why would you ever rev to 8200? your rev limit is pre-set for a reason

I love threads like this.... I have to agree with everyone here. On a stock motor... esp. a d15 you dont wanna touch it
