update on DIY painted hatch!!!

so as you will see, ive got a lot more done to her since, for the last week, its been sunny and warm. whats left to do is get some mesh for the DIY type r grill. and i got to clean up the lower grill and get some paint off the tires. the only thing i really have left to paint is the hood( it needs another coat or two).

i think its a big improvement compared to what she used to look like.

everything but the bumper and hood have a clear coat. but i dont have anything good to buff it with to bring out that shine i want yet. plus the buffer i have cost like 15 bucks, so it kinda sucks too.

im not the best at taking pictures... but im not seeing where you see the primer or black. and the headlights dont have any paint on them. there just fogged over. need to take them apart and clean them. unless you mean at the bottom of the lights. in which case i need to align them better anyways so nobody will see it.

looks really good from what it was. theres a small gap between the hood and front bumper tho. plus, the headlights look alittle hazy. grab a front lip and youll be set!!

did you use clear on it? has it been wet sanded and buffed? doesnt look to bad!

thanks for the positive comments everyone! and no its not wet-sanded and buffed yet, i need a better buffer, and definately need some good polishing compounds. turtle wax brand aint doing the job. and i hear ya on the front bumper. that things gone through hell, even fell off one day when i was going around 50 mph. so im suprised itd still in one piece, so im thinkin about getting another one thats not messed up, and getting the fog lights and a lip all at once.
