Upgrading an automatic ?

What are your guys opinion on upgrading an automatic Civic ?

U wld waste money building a auto...u can build it but it won't last very long..ppl have turboed them and used spray but the tranny isn't built for power.

You can build them, it's very expensive. If you have an engine that's worth it then do it. If you don't then buy an engine with an manual trans. Also the SiR auto trans would be pretty sweet

If performance is your goal convert it or sell it. Honda auto are worthless..

I know this post is really old but I just want to say that my first car is a 1996 honda civic lx automatic and all I have been doing on it besides exterior work is the engine I just built a SOHC VTEC d16a motor with parts from Speedfactory and its going pretty well I put in a cold air intake and a fullexhaust w/headers its acctually going pretty well ive beaten alot of 5spd hondas with my build.auto trannys dont push enough power nor do they last very long but no matter the tranny you can still go fast.
