hey guys just had a few quick questions, i want to squeez a little more hp out of my stock d16y8, before i do a turbo,.i was thinking new,
-cam shaft
-pistons
-valve train
-cam gear
just to prep her for a turbo so when that time comes it will be a little easier

Q.1:what are some simple light after market pistons and rods for a good deal thats easy on the wallet?

Q.2 :ive seen alot of people with "cp pistons? and eagle rods? would that be ok to run on a stock y8 with maybe a stage 1 OR 2 cam ? ....or do i need to upgrade the crank as well? will i need to chip the ecu yet as well?

thanks in advance, ive been reading and researching just to shead a little light any set up tips and comments are welcome, again thanks

To "prep" an engine for boost you will have to do a low compression setup, in which case its gonna suck even more to drive a low compression d16. I would just wait, research more, and save money until you do it all at one time. You are gonna lose HP and have to get it tuned if you do any internal work, so no sense spending money twice on the same thing.

As far as cost, just keep researching what other people have done and keep your eye out for good deals. Its a honda, theres a kajillion resources for parts and nobody has the "best" prices.
