Used to kick struts

Do you think it's a good idea to put used tokico struts with 60k miles with coilovers on my 2000 civic ex or just buy new ones? I'm thinking about buying them for $200.

Pretty high mileage.... The way I see it is, if they're not free or under $100, might as well get new ones.

60K isn't high for a tokico, I had almost 200K on illumina's and they were solid as a rock, but still I agree just put the $200 toward new ones and at least you'll get a warranty.

how do you know its only that many miles?

thanks for the inputs guys...i got them for $100 and i tested them by pressing them in and letting them go for a few times on each shock...it didn't leak any fluid so we will see...how i see it i have a 50/50 chance with them...i'll let you guys know how they work after i install them and drive with them on for a while.

If they are Tokico blues, they shouldn't be used with any coilover. They are just OE replacements. If they are Illuminas, you may be ok.

Either way, pressing on the car and not seeing any fluid is not a good test to see if they work properly.
