Ok so i have a Panasonic CQ-DF583 headunit and then the factory tape deck down by the cup holders is unplugged because they said it wouldnt work together :what: the plugs match and all cuz i remember that. before i go taking apart my interior again, could i plug the tape deck into the headunit and select CD changer and then use a tape adapter to play my iPod?

Umm I dont think you can do that easily but there are two other options that I know of..

1. Use the aux imput in the front (if there is one)
2. use a FM Modulator..

..I used to use the aux input in the front of the face, but I could never use my cupholders and it looked really shitty so I put in a FM Modulator..

im not showing any way of putting an input to your radio, seeing as the CQ DF583U was made in 03.. the best option you might want to look into is a WIRED fm modualator from Directed Electronics or one similar, it goes inline with the antenna wire, and from my experiances have had little to no interferance where as wireless ones distort far to easily. they go for around $20. If you want to charge the ipod at the same time you can couple that to a Belkin Ipod charger, i like the belkins because it has the 1/8" output on the charger base and makes a quick one wire connection to the ipod

K you can

A) Get an FM transmitter, I'd go with the Griffin it's like $70

B)Or order the Panasonic, Aux adaptor, your Pan has CD Changer Control. So what you would do is plug the adapter in that port and there will be rca's on the other end where you will plug in the I-pod, though you still have to charge it.

Something like this
