hmm do you really have a pink valve cover?
Talk to oc_civic, he has one and should be able to help you. I think another person that has one is civicexofdoom. Try them they should be able to answer your question. but I think your best bet is to just search around and compare prices

the Vafc & Vafcll are the same thing. i think they just work with different ecu's. But i have a VAFC in my '94 EX Coupe. i run it on a D16z6 w/ intake, header, axle back, and soon to be my MSD igniont and blaster coil. but anyways i picked mine up for $150 used from a member on here. and had it installed for $100 by a mechanic friend who also gave me a short run down on how to use it. i would say if u have the money go for it. the stock Vtec enages @ 4800rpm's i have mine set at 5500 rpms and i can feel a little power gain. most of my friend say it sound like a B series Vtec engagement. so thats cool. but overall i love it and my friend think its pretty cool to and im the only one on my team taht has one. so yes o for it!!

i have it because it looks pretty.. its super easy to instal and have modes to monitor the engine.. you can also run a little rich or lean depending on your setup.. with the nitrous and high flow pump ive bumped up the fueling minimall just to aid against detonation, not for "more power"y.. if you do anything dramatic it requires it to be tuned on a dyno..

200 or something is a lot of money for something that looks pretty.
If you have a reason to use it then it is a different story.

* Changing your V-Tec Engagement is not a valid reason unless you have a new cam or something of that nature.

yeah, i have a VAFC too....it's nice just cuz u can change stuff u normally can't change, like the vtec i have set to 5200 rite now i believe. i need to bring it to a dyno and have them adjust it though...dunno where optimum is =/

and nah.. $200 is really not much at all..

and as stated.. the fuel is bumped a little to protect against detonation.. huge dif ? no.. not at all..
