I recently got two new Primewell PZ-900 tires from Firestone and put them on the front end of my civic. They were the only ones in 195/55/15 I could get there..

My real question is what are the advantages/disadvantages of a V-tread tire? I don't really see them on a lot of cars and idk how I feel about them...seem kinda cheapy to me. I'd rather get a set of Yokohamas or something of the like.

As far as I know, v tread tires are better in the rain. Something about the design helps disperse the water better, thus increasing wet performance. Not too sure how well they do in dry though. If you look at a lot of higher end performing summer tires, they do have the v tread to them but not as much as some.
