I have a 98 Civic, and there is a vacuum leak, for sure. Previously there was a rattling, but that proved to just be the AC belt, but now i fixed the AC belt (the person i bought the car from missed a pulley) and now you can hear the air leaking out of somewhere, im not sure if it is a line, or if the exhaust manifold is cracked, i have repair records showing that it was repaired in 2008. However, the car sits at high idle, approx 1500 RPM, and will, once the engine warms up, rev up and down, from 2000 RPM to 1000 RPM and back to 2000, and it does this non stop and gets worse with more time, but if i turn the AC on, the car will smooth idle at approx 1000 - 1500 RPM, and if i turn the heat on, the car will vibrate and the engine will rattle. I am not sure how to go about finding and fixing the problem. If someone could help me out itd be much appreciated. Thank you.
