Vehicle Speed Sensor

Can anyone tell me where it is relative to this picture of the engine and tranny or have a link of where I can get info on it. I've ready the service manual but the diagrams aren't really helping,

its on top of the tranny towards the firewall (eg6) it has three wires coming off it. i'll try to take a pic of mine

thx, I found it, so is there anyway to test it, i tried putting a meter to it and turning the head to see if I get a pulse but nothing.

The speedometer was working, just got th speed sensor error from the computer, so it was registering something, I don't want to go buy a new one if this one isn't broken.

also any recommendations on where I should buy it if in fact I need to?
then when I go to put it in it has some lube on the inside of the sensor, is this from the tranny or some type of oil I need to put on it? The plug also had some kind of grease in it, i'm guessing to keep it from corroding, and idea why type/kind of grease this is, that I need to put on the new one?

If the speed sensor is setting a code, it needs to have the sensor replaced. You will probably need to go to the dealership to get something like that though, unless you can get one used.
