what kinda ecu do u have? when u look on the ecu and find the type of ecu, search online for the pinouts. they tell you which color wire is which.

For the map sensor wires (white and yellow) and
Vtec (Pink and Purple)

Towards Engine ____________/ /________________ ECU
white wire .................................. yellow wire
pink wire .................................. purple wire

just to cover it...they all don't go on the same wire...hope this helps

got another question hopefully the last one. the 2 power and ground wires can go to the smae power and ground on the ecu? i know you said to put one ground closer to the ecu but wanted to see if both powers can go to the single power line?

yes both power wires can go on the same wire...i personally have always put the orange wire closer to the ecu...i don't know why...but i haven't had any problems...

now for the ground wires make sure the brown wire is closer to the ecu than the black...on the same wire...and then your good...

also do not forget to initialize and setup the vafc for your motor....let me know if you need to know how to do that

what you do is...

1. Turn ignition key on (do not start the car)

2. Scroll to the 3rd option on the main menu.

3. Go all the way down to initialize. illuminate yes and press the next key

4. Turn ignition off and then back on again (do not start car)

5. Select sensor and put 06 for in, and 06 for out

6. Go to Cylinder # and select 4 with the arrow pointing to the upper right

7. now while in the same menu with the # of cylinders scroll over and illuminate the arrow. now count to 10 with the gas pedal untouched. after 10 seconds, hold the gas pedal to the floor for another 10 seconds. then turn the ignition key to the off position. then turn ignition to the on postion (do not start yet)

8.Set vtec to whatever you want. VTi is when the Ecu turns vtec on. VTo is when the engine turns it on
VTi will always come on before VTo. do not set too low. i recommend leaving the setting stock until you get a dynotune. setting the vtec lower does not nessesarily help. on mine, the dyno proved it needed to be at 5800rpm instead of 4500rpm.

9. turn key off. your good to start the car now.

i will also remind you if you do not know. every time you want to change any setting on the vafc, the engine MUST BE OFF. and the key to the on position only.
