does any one know or have any link ... that how to copy recoreded video to pc.... i have this sony cam... have lost my manual.... plz help.... i want to post some videos

go to best buy, or circuit city, or radio shack.....tell them you want to transfer video to your pc....they will give you a fire-wire and the adapter that goes with it

i have this usb cable that goes directly from cam to pc..... but i can only save pics from it....

if you have windows XP, just use windows movie maker 2... not the "best" program, but simple to learn. some more info on your PC may help as well... i'm not sure what sony cam you have either, but are you sure that the USB cable isn't for just copying pics (still image)? if so, just plug a video cable (or s-video) and RCA's and you should be set...

either way, Windows Movie Maker can be your friend. if you don't have XP, use google, there are tons of freeware/shareware programs out there that can do the similar things.

just make sure if you use fire-wire, to make sure your computer is off when you plug it in...fire-wire is "supposed" to be plug and play, but what ends up happening is the firewire port on the computer gets blown out, and you have to replace it.

Another way to do it is to get a capture card and plug a vcr or something into that and then record....i used to have a vcr plugged into my computer, so i could take tv shows when they came on...
