how would the "vitara" pistons hold up in a d16 on about 15psi? im going to drive the car daily but ive heard that those pistons can handle up to 25 psi of boost with proper tuning. Im really on a budget so i know they arent the best but are they worth thier money?? Also are they a direct replacement? Im going to also change the rods to stonger ones.

When cold they are a tad bit smaller than stock but when they warm up they are standard size. A guy on turbod16 just made 400whp on them with just rods, pistons, and I think a blockguard @ like 25psi.

Thats the car I'm talking about.

And no, when they're cold they're just loud. (piston slap)

Yep, they do have a little or alot of piston slap when cold. So don't flip out when you hear it for the first time. I am doing my second vitara build and shooting for mid 300s on 20 psi or so.

the TT h-beams are supposedly a little wide on the wristpin side and wont fit into the piston. a machine shop should be able to shave a little material off to make them fit...
im running the TT i-beams and they fit just fine..

as for the 400hp sedan, guy local bought that car. ive ridden in it, and OMG!!!!! one of the fastest cars ive ever ridden in

The tuner toys rods fit the piston fine, the wrist pin section is what needs honed out to fit the pin in.

I just did this to my set.
