Depends on what wire in the TPS connector you're talking about.

No. The TPS output voltage must be calibrated after installing a new TPS. Afterwards, reset the ECU.

So when I remove it I would need to disconnect my battery, install the new 1 and reconnect my battery?

Would it be easier if I just replaced my whole TB? Or would I still have to colibrate my TBS if I did so that?

before you remove the old TPS unplug it and put the multimeter on the pins inside of it and write down that number. when you install the new one you move it around until its back at the number you wrote down.

This you have a small gap where it can be placed within. You want to be as close as possible to that number. It take a little bit of patience to do so. You may want a seperate set of hands.

But what if the voltage isn't right? Or can that even happen? I'm new at this stuff so im a little paranoid lol

Measure voltage between the middle Red/Black wire and the Green/Black wire in the plugged in TPS connector with the key in ON(II). This is done by using needles to back probe the TPS connector.

Loosen the bolts securing the TPS and turn it until the voltage reads 0.5V with the throttle plate fully closed. Then tighten the bolts. When the throttle plate is wide open, the voltage should read about 4.5V

Bolts? It looks riveted on the tb so I'm guessing I'm going to have to cut them off and replace it with bolts right? And when I look for the voltage with the wot and ct should my car be on?

Remove the TB, Dremel tool a straight groove across the top of each "rivet" bolt, and then use a flat head screwdriver to remove the bolts. The new TPS generally comes with two new bolts with hex heads. Install new TPS as well as TB with a new TB gasket.

Key in ON(II) without engine running.

Be careful to seat and align the new TPS properly onto end of the throttle plate rod.

Also torque the TB nuts/bolts to spec to avoid an intake air leak.
