vtec light help

k i was following the instructions on this forum http://www.clubcivic.com/board/showthread.php?t=31647&page=1&pp=15 and i have run into a little problem i cant figure out this part.


Solider the two wires to the two leads from the LED (the longer of the two leads is the positive lead The shorter lead is the ground.) Solder the resistor in line with the ground wire

i soliderd the resister to the ground wire and the 18 guage wire to the positive lead is this correct or do i need to do something more to them because he says 2 wires?
