vtec light mod not working.

well in the interior how to's theres this how to on hot to made a LED light up when you hit vtec, thought id try it out. well i thought i had everything hooked up but when i get on it...nothing lights up, any suggestions on what could be wrong...i grounded it in teh same place the how-to grounded it, the other wire is connected to the green with yellow stripe wire...im bummed out since its not working...

EDIT: theres 2 wires coming out of the LED, both are black, and they are the same length...

wtf cc, i just went outside to put down my sunroof and when i put the key in the ignition the LED came on, i have no idea why....im so confused!

Reminds me of the time when we hooked up my buddies cd changer...went to go turn it on to see if it worked and the doors locked....
