i have heard from people that you should turn off ur v-tec if you turbo your car, but they probly dont know what the f**k they are talkin about, and dont know what v-tec is, or know how it works. so dont feal too dumb about beliving it. but you dont need to turn it off.

thanks pangie.. that was slightly homo. just slightly. The dude is just pissin me off.. he doesn't add to any post. He states his opinion or criticism and then DOESN'T back it up.

HELP people out. Youre the best. Is that what you want to hear?

not one of you guys has helped so you should all shut up..............

as to the original question....... you should keep your vtec system operating. the idea behind vtec is to have higher valve lift at higher rpms..... this allows greater air-flow in and out of the cylinders...... the idea behind a turbo is to force more air into your cylinders.......... so, if you are turbo and are forcing air into your motor, then you should get into vtec asap so that the valves can allow the air to get through.

also, if you disengage your vtec, then you cannot get to the higher rpm ranges of the motor..... the small cam lobes just will not make any power at those speeds...... turbos work best at these high speeds. that's slightly off topic so just take my word for it..........

Thanks for the help Team 4NR. Because I was just wondering cause I have friend whose turbo and VTEC were on at the same time and it messed up his cars timing or something.
