Vtec Wire

Ok so i thought it was gonna be a simple lil mod to put on a Vtec light on my 98 Ex. Tapped into the Green/yellow wire, solid ground. but the damn thing doesnt light up...whats goin on? it lights up when i have the key in and on aux. but whenever i crank it, it turns off. Help please?

are you driving? bc you have to be driving and when the vtec engages it will light up. not while your just sitting there. it wont work if you just rev the engine either. you have to be actually driving.

yup, drove for 4 hours...still wasnt lighting up

got any pics? what LED did you use?

My guess is you dont have a resistor in there, or tapped the wrong wire...

Im not sure, the only thing i can think of is the wrong wire tapped...

nah i've 6x checked (and i'm not exaggerating) and even cross referenced to the helms manual
