VX clusters help!!?!?!?!

hey..what is the difference between a VX cluster and a SI cluster (the EG HB) cuz i found someone that is selling it..and he has the VX cluster..if its just the limit of the RPM or watever..can i just get the aftermarket SI glow gagues thingy and put them on the VX? or is the RPM marked differenly?? help please i need to give him an offer soon..ALSO..how much should i offer him?!!? i dont know how much they r worth..if this helps...it got 147,000 mines on the OD...thanks u guys!!

the only difference is the redline but ur right about the SI aftermarket covers..a gauge cluster should go for around 75 bucks(excluding shipping)..if any lower then u got a good deal for it, i got mine for 8o at the junkyard from an auto 93 2 door ex, i'll sell it pretty soon but not sure when..i'll post before i sell payce

the gauges should work fine, the tach will be different i do believe so the si covers will have different numbers at different places. and unless your car has more than 147k, i'd pass

uh.........yes my response did answer his question...he wasnt sure about the gauge covers..so i told him he was right about what he could do since the boy wasnt sure man, people these days -sigh-

i really do hope ur blamin the teachers bc if ur being sarcastic, i feel stupid as hell then. english 1,2,3, and 4 were my worst subjects in high skool, i excelled at all the other classes,.. i couldnt learn parts of grammar for s**t and as for literature,(im sure a middle skool kid knoz me then me), i couldnt relate one thing to another wen they asked those questions after a story was over.

A VX Tach redlines at exactly 6,000 RPM. I know for sure because I look at one everyday. The Si is slightly more within 1,000, I cant remember exactly what.
