im putting my old 15s SPL Dual Voice coil subs in the wagovan. when installing it tho ive run into some problems i just dont understand. now it could be something as simple as i need a new head unit because either this one is too old or the RCA jacks in it are shot. i dont really know, and dont know of where else to turn. ive got the power cable ran with a 100v fuse(fuse is not blown already checkd that) to the amp. amp is HIFONICS 1600 watt. has a good ground. sanded down to bare metal. when i ran the remote it was getting power but not much so i looped the remote and power and the amps got more power. next i ran the RCAs and there brand new. so everything to my knowledge is hookd up. amp has power and comes on but when i went to plug the speaker in.....nothing. so i thought maybe speaker was blown, untill i wired it up in my buddies car and it hits. sooooo......i really dont know if the radio in it is f*ckd or what.....someone told me to get RCA jacks for an ipod and hook that directly up to the amp and bi-pass the radio so gonna try that later. if anyone has some advise or knows anything to try please help me.....

Scratching my head on what you meant by looping the remote with the power unless you meant you jumped it over from power to remote at the amp terminals just to get the amp to come on. The remote power does not need to be much as it is just the turn on for the amp. Still needs to be 12v but not that many amps. So if your amp truly is on (Sometimes amps can light up and appear on even when they really are not) then you have a few possibilities left. Use a meter and check the voltage at the amp power terminals to make sure they are all getting correct power. You could also have bad RCA's, bad headunit preouts, bad amp inputs, or bad amp outputs. The ipod you were going to use will eliminate the RCA's and headunit preouts. If it works with the ipod then it is one of those. If it doesn't then it is your power connections or bad amp since you already checked the sub.
