are you goin to be hangin on to this civic? and is 1000 dollars just for suspension or is that the whole car. Neways the cheapest way to go would be to get lowering springs but the downfall is that you cant adjust it. next in line would be to get a coilover sleeve. these are ajustable and go over your stock struts not exactly the best for your stock struts but it will do the job. and after that is the big daddy. you can get a full coilover system the ride will be more firm but it is the best and most efficient way to go, with that said its expensive but i quote a gentlemen who told me the same thing. "you've got to pay to play" thank you for whoever said that

em1 didnt mention shock and sleeve combo really it starts at cheap wich is springs but as stated by em1 your stuck with the ride height. second is sleeves but will blow your stock shocks within 2 weeks tops. then to save some money for wheels or what ever you can get koni's and gc sleeves good quality ride i've heard and a little cheaper then full dampers.next is the best wich is full suspension you can get function and form's for 530-600 depending where you shop try mengs. but if your dropping 1k on suspension alone just go tien full dampers.

how low do you want to drop it,,, this will dertermine the right type of suspension. also what type of terrain you are driving on a regular basis.
